Regarding housing supply, President Lee Jae-myung urged officials on the 20th, "Do not be bound by conventional practices and procedures, and wage a supply blitz by drastically shortening to the maximum extent the time required from site development to various permits, approvals, and groundbreaking."

Presiding over a Cabinet meeting at the Blue House that day, President Lee made the remarks, saying, "What is especially important is not merely declaring or announcing how many units will be built, but actual groundbreaking and move-ins."

Noting that move-ins will begin in Gyeyang-gu, Incheon, this December—marking the first among the third-generation new towns—President Lee repeatedly called on officials, saying, "We must also expedite housing supply across other new towns. Please make all-out efforts with the determination that the success or failure of state affairs hinges on tangible housing stability that citizens can truly feel."

President Lee also emphasized, "Through proactive fiscal management, we must also pay special attention to the swift supply of high-quality public rental housing for young people and the middle class."
