Cristiano Ronaldo (Al Nassr) announced that he has decided to leave the Portugal national team camp during the squad call-up.

On the 30th (local time), Ronaldo shared via his Instagram, "Following the national team manager's press conference and after discussions with the president of the Portuguese Football Federation, I have decided to leave the national team camp."

He continued, "When the time comes, I will tell the truth to all Portuguese people regarding the reasons for leaving the national team, to which I have always been committed."

Ronaldo did not elaborate on specific reasons for his departure.

He concluded his message to the national team by stating, "Now is the time to wish the best of luck to Portugal and, without exception, to all my teammates."

On the same day, the Portuguese Football Federation also announced in a statement that "Portuguese international Cristiano Ronaldo has left the national team camp currently taking place in Copenhagen."

The national team will prepare as scheduled for upcoming matches against Denmark and Norway in Ronaldo's absence. The Portuguese Football Federation explained, "Preparations for the matches against Denmark and Norway will continue as planned."

The federation added, "Preparations will proceed with the remaining 24 players called up to the squad."
