On the 8th, Chairman Koo met with CEO Huang at the LG Twin Towers in Yeouido, Seoul, to discuss AI cooperation for about an hour. Arriving at the Twin Towers around 10:00 AM, CEO Huang was personally greeted by Chairman Koo, and executives from both companies, including LG Vice Chairman Kwon Bong-seok, attended the private meeting.
Finishing the discussions around 11:00 AM, CEO Huang met with reporters in the lobby and evaluated, "Our partnership with LG is continuing to grow and developing into an amazing level of cooperative relationship." He added, "LG operates across a very diverse range of industries and possesses numerous core technologies that will play a vital role in the future."
He then pointed out, "The most crucial area we are collaborating on is robotics, a field where electronics, mechanics, and AI converge," adding, "We are cooperating across the AI field, motor technology, and mechanical systems altogether."
Furthermore, he expressed intentions to cooperate with LG regarding data center construction. CEO Huang said, "To build megawatt-scale data centers, advancements in cooling, power supply, and data center design and construction technologies are required," adding, "LG holds outstanding capabilities in these fields, so we are co-designing future data center architecture."
Regarding the meeting on this day, Chairman Koo said, "We shared talks on future directions with Nvidia, and it seems more cooperation will be needed to accelerate the AI era." He hinted at further meetings, adding, "I wanted to continue into detailed discussions, but since he invited me to California next time, I will go there to discuss much of our future cooperation."
Meanwhile, in response to a query on whether expectations for the AI industry are currently too high, CEO Huang also remarked, "AI is not just an exciting technology but a useful one, and it has begun generating revenue." He added, "Right now is the beginning stage of the industry, and if the stock market trades at discounted prices, it would be a good time to buy."
