SM Entertainment issues statement on Sulli’s death

SM Entertainment has issued a statement following Sulli’s death.

On October 14, Sulli’s agency said, “We apologize for conveying such sad and unfortunate news. Sulli has left our side.”

“We cannot believe the situation now and we are filled with grief.”

“We earnestly request that you refrain from writing speculative articles or spreading rumors for her family who is grieving after the sudden news. We express our deep condolences.”

The former f(x) member, whose legal name is Choi Jin-ri, was found dead by her agent at around 3:21 pm at her home in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, according to the police. Police are investigating to determine the cause of her death on the assumption that she may have taken her own life.
