Taeyeon involved in car accident

Girls' Generation's Taeyeon was recently involved in a three-car rear-end collision.

According to Chosun Ilbo, Tayeon was driving her Mercedez Benz heading from Hakdong Station in the direction of Nonhyeon Station at around 8 PM when she hit a taxi. The taxi then hit an Audi vehicle in front of it, causing a triple collision.

Taeyeon was sent to a hospital due to chest pains.

Following the accident, SM Entertainment issued an official statement saying that "Today at 7:40 PM in the area of Nonhyeon-dong, Taeyeon was involved in a car accident while attending her personal schedule through her own careless driving. She is very apologetic towards the other drivers and passengers and will do her best to resolve the matters."

The statement added, "After dealing with the accident, Taeyeon has returned home safely without injuries. We apologize for having caused anxiety."
