Film "Anarchist from Colony" has drawn one million viewers on Sunday, five days after the release.

"Anarchist from Colony" drew 1 million moviegoers as of Sunday, according to box-office data compiled by the Korean Film Council.

It is at the same rate as this year's biggest box-office success, Confidential Assignment, which drew about 78 million viewers in total.

Directed by Lee Joon-ik, "Anarchist from Colony" is based on an unbelievable true story set during Joseon's colonial era in Tokyo in 1923. The film follows the life of anarchist Park Yeol (played by Lee Jae-hoon) and his fellow comrade and lover Fumiko Kaneko (Choi Hee Seo Boon), who resist against Japanese imperialism trying to conceal the massacre of 6,000 Koreans.
