Nine Muses apologized for the plagiarism controversy caused by admitting they referred to the cover and photoshoot of 'W Korea' for their new album jacket.

On January 16, Nine Muses' agency Star Empire stated, "Regarding the plagiarism controversy for Nine Muses' jacket image released on the 14th, we apologize to W Korea and photographer Hong Jang-hyun's side, and make a correction on the issue."

The agency said, "It's not true that Star Empire had a prior agreement with the photographer or that we had a discussion beforehand about the copyright issues. As W Korea corrected, we did not have a prior agreement about the copyright issues for the filming not that we had a discussion with the photographer beforehand. We found there was an error by the agency, and requested for modification of reports."

Previously, Nine Muses revealed jacket images for their new album 'Drama', and the agency has been embroiled in a plagiarism controversy due to the similarities between the jacket images of the group's upcoming album 'Drama' and the pictorial of 'W Korea' magazine.
