Kang Ha-neul, Cha Eun-woo, Kim Young-kwang team up for comedy First Ride

Actors Kang Ha-neul, Kim Young-kwang, Cha Eun-woo, Kang Young-seok, and Han Sun-hwa are set to star in the upcoming comedy film First Ride, distributor and investor Showbox announced on April 10.

The film, which began production on March 21, follows a group of lifelong friends embarking on their long-awaited first overseas trip—only to find themselves caught up in a series of unpredictable events.

Kang Ha-neul plays Tae-jung, a near-perfect elite with a perfectionist streak. Kim Young-kwang takes on the role of Do-jin, a former basketball player, while Cha Eun-woo portrays Yeon-min, an aspiring world-class DJ. Kang Young-seok appears as Geum-bok, who turned to religion at an early age.

Han Sun-hwa brings comedic energy as Ok-shim, a headstrong go-getter who never fails to get what she wants.

The film is directed by Nam Dae-joong, who previously worked with Kang Ha-neul on the romantic comedy Love Reset.
