EXO and PSY win Daesang at Golden Disk Awards

The Daesang (grand prize) winners at the 28th Golden Disk Awards were EXO and PSY.

At the awards ceremony, which took place on January 16 at the Grand Peace Palace of Kyung Hee University, EXO and PSY took home the Grand Prize awards for the Album category and Digital Album category, respectively.

EXO became the first million seller in 12 years selling its first album 'XOXO' (including full length album and repackaged album) a total of over 1.4 million copies back in August. EXO's winter seasonal album 'Miracle in December' has sold over 3 million copies.

EXO said, "It's an honor to win the grand prize a year after we won the New Rising Star Award. Thank you for giving us such a big award."

PSY won the Grand Prize with 'Gentleman' for the second consecutive year following 'Gangnam Style'.

PSY said, "I have finished recording my new songs. I will continue to perform fun stages."
