NewJeans drops “Cool With You” MV starring Jeong Ho-yeon and Tony Leung

“Squid Game” actress Jeong Ho-yeon and renowned Hong Kong star Tony Leung starred in NewJeans’ music videos.

On July 20, NewJeans dropped two music videos – “Cool With You” (side A) and “Cool With You” & “Get Up” (side B) - on HYBE LABELS’ YouTube channel. “Cool With You” is one the three title tracks of the group’s second mini album “Get Up”.

The MVs were directed by Shin Woo-seok, who also directed “OMY” and “Ditto”. The MVs are a modern adaptation of the Greek myth “Psyche and Eros”. Filmed in Barcelona, Spain, the two-part MVs deliver the story of Eros (played by Jeong Ho-yeon) abandoning her status of god and choosing love. NewJeans members appear as guardian angels that follow the god in a contemplative manner. Tony Leung made a cameo that gave a twist to Jung Ho-yeon’s story. Despite his short appearance, the actor showed impressive presence.

NewJeans will release “Get Up” on July 21 at 1 p.m.
