YG in talks with BLACKPINK’s Lisa’s contract renewal

YG Entertainment has responded on Wednesday to reports suggesting that BLACKPINK’s Lisa might not renew her contract with YG.

“Since BLACKPINK is on the world tour and doing individual activities, it is difficult to arrange scheduled activities after August,” an official from YG Entertainment said. “We are in talks to renew contract.”

Previously, Munhwa Ilbo reported that although Lisa and YG have been discussing her contract renewal, they failed to reach an agreement. The news outlet added that the contract renewal process for the remaining three members have gone smoothly. BLACKPINK members’ exclusive contracts with YG expire in August.

Currently, BLACKPINK is holding their “BORN PINK” world tour.
