BLACKPINK has been chosen as TIME magazine’s ‘2022 Entertainer of the Year’.

On December 5, the American weekly magazine revealed a list of most influential people in several different categories. BLACKPINK has become the Entertainer of the Year for the first time as a K-pop girl group.

The magazine said BLACKPINK is a trendsetting icon and the world’s biggest female band that no one can deny. BLACKPINK says they are ordinary girls, but their 2022 has been anything but. “They appeared at the VMAs in August, performing their hit single ‘Pink Venom’, and onstage during their latest blockbuster world tour,” TIME said, adding, “Shows sold out in minutes and were attended by tens of thousands of fans, including celebrities like Selena Gomez and Usher.”

Previously, BLACKPINK was chosen as one of “TIME 100 NEXT 2019”, receiving attention as one of bands with highly anticipated global influence.
