After getting criticism for posting Japan's flag on her Instagram on Korea's Independence day, Girls' Generation's Tiffany posted a handwritten apology letter.

On August 15, Tiffany wrote on her Instagram, Hello, this is Tiffany. I am sorry for causing concern to many people due to my mistake on such a meaningful day. I'm very embarrassed at myself for disappointing people through this mistake, and I'm reflecting on my action. I will make sure to remember that a lot of people are watching my action and seeing my words, and I will work hard to become a person who thinks deeply so something like this doesn't happen again. I apologize for letting you down once again."

However, some netizens are yet showing cold attitude, claiming that her post shows little sincerity.
