Joo Ji-hoon, Kim Kang-woo, and Lim Ji-yeon confirmed for historical film ‘Ganshin’

Actors Joo Ji-hoon, Kim Kang-woo, and Lim Ji-yeon have been confirmed for upcoming film 'Ganshin' directed by Min gyu-dong, who directed 'All About My Wife' and 'All for Love'.


'Ganshin' is a historical film set in the Joseon dynasty under the rule of Yeonsangu, and it tells the story of a disloyal servant who acts to be loyal in front of the king but tries to spoil the affairs of state behind the king's back.


Joo Ji-hoon will be taking the role of Soong Jae, the King's disloyal servant, while Kim Kang-woo will be acting as Yeonsangun 'Yung'. It is Kim's first historical film and is expected to show his different side as the king who gets overthrown from his own servants and citizens due to his tyrannical behavior.


Lim Ji-yeon will play lead female character Dan Hee, who is brought to the palace by Soong Jae.


'Ganshin' will begin filming next month.
